CAPs Double

Either the first blog post took off like a wildfire, or the Salisbury community has a deeper love for theatre than many may have thought.  This last Community Art Players meeting doubled in number of people interested to participate.  We can only hope that this pace continues.  Seeing so many determined faces around the table, was almost as enjoyable as the Thanksgiving dinner we were all getting ready to eat the next week.

With budgets and involvement being key for our first few meetings, these seemed to be the topics of discussion.  What can really captivate the audience?  What type of show?  Should there be dinner included?  How can all of this fit in our very small budget?

Decided - We would have a production in early 2014.  The production would most likely take place at the new First Baptist Church of Salisbury's Fellowship Hall.  There will be at least two performances and dinner will be served for at least one performance.  The type of show will be a mystery...Perhaps.

A very important step for decisions to continue to be made is figuring out: who is interested in acting?  Do we have more than the five people that raised their hands at the meeting seeking to audition?  How many CAPs will our show need?

If you are interested in acting or learning more about the next stages(not literally) for the Community Art Players, feel free to attend the next meeting at Peace Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 17th at 7pm. Or email communityartplayers@gmail.com.  Looking forward to seeing you there.
